Join Lyons & Lyons Co., L.P.A. on June 17, 2011 for a MOCK JURY TRIAL on an OVI in which the Defendant is charged with O.R.C. §4511.19(A)(1)(a).

Lebanon City Prosecutor Matt Graber will be prosecuting and defense attorney Mark Gardner of Cleveland, OH will defend the case! The facts will be based on an actual OVI case with a refusal of the breath test and we will also use a real police officer to portray the arresting officer.

The Mock Trial will be a full trial, including voir dire of real jurors (local citizens, with no legal background, solicited for the purpose of this seminar), opening statements, direct & cross-examinations, and closing arguments. The day will end with a verdict and a panel discussion with the attorneys and the jurors!

Finally, not only will you get to see how to try a refusal OVI case, you will also get to see what happens behind closed doors! That’s right - the deliberations will be presented on large-screen monitors via closed circuit cameras. Watch and listen to what the jurors talk about and how they reach their verdict! The seminar will include a continental breakfast during check-in, a morning and afternoon break, and lunch will be provided (Pizza & Soda). We have applied for 7.5 hours of general C.L.E. with Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
